My fifteen birthday is close and since I was like 10 years old, my family always bodered me about if I wanted a big party or a trip. And I had decided i want a trip and better if it could be with friends, so last year with one of my best friends Cata, we planned our dream trip and how awesome it would be to travel the both of us, together!! 

But where would we travel?

Greece is a country located in Europe formed by more than 2,000 islands, dominated by the incredible landscapes that impress everyone that visit them. Full with historical and extravagant places as the Acropolis Museum and  a unique culture from the greek gods to  their exquisite gastronomy and amazing architecture. The place where our dream trip would come true and we could have the best time in our lives.

 In this blog am going to show you the places that I will love to visit in Greece, and hope you like some of them and go for the adventure so you could have amazing experiences too. 

Acropolis, Athens

Considered the symbol of Athens and Greece, and indeed of Western civilization, the Acropolis is a rocky mound rising in the heart of modern Athens, crowned by three magnificent temples dating from the 5th century BC. 

Acropolis Museum, Athens

The Acropolis Museum is one of Athens' most-visited tourist attractions. Designed by Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi, it is an ultra-modern glass and steel structure with light and airy exhibition spaces, built specifically to display ancient finds from the Acropolis.

Santorini

Stunning Santorini is the most dramatic of all the Greek isles. Made up of typical Cycladic whitewashed cubic buildings, many of which have been converted into boutique hotels with infinity pools, both Fira and Oia are considered romantic destinations, popular for weddings and honeymoons.

Things to do in Santorini include sunbathing and swimming at the black volcanic-sand beaches on the south and east coasts and visiting the archaeological site of Akrotir.

 

 Mykonos

Greece's most glamorous island destination is Mykonos. After-dark activities center on Mykonos Town, noted for its chic boutique hotels, classy seafood restaurants, and live music venues. Other attractions include Paraportiani (a whitewashed church in Mykonos Town) and numerous sandy beaches along the island's south coast . The island is particularly popular with international celebrities. 

Corfu

One of Greece's top tourist destinations, Corfu sits in the Ionian Sea off the west coast of the mainland. With elegant Italianate architecture it is perfect for romantic people.Away from the main town, the island is lushly beautiful, with rugged limestone rocks. The most popular beach area is Paleokastritsa. 

 

Zákynthos

Home to gorgeous scenery both above and under the sea surrounding it, Zákynthos (Zante) island is another top tourist destination in Greece.

Shipwreck Beach is the most famous — and stunning sea caves like the Blue Caves, off the island's northern tip. Inside, the sparkling water reflects the color of the blue sky on the cave walls to create a magical glow. The Blue Caves are only one of the many watery attractions around this island. There is also excellent snorkeling and scuba diving.

Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is Grecce´s second biggest city . Lively festivals, social events and a buzzing nightlife make this city the cultural capital of Greece. Comprised of a historic city center and commercial district, Thessaloniki offers both  old and new attractions from its Byzantine walls, White Tower and Turkish baths to colorful food markets, museums and art galleries. Thessaloniki’s nightlife is unmatched. From small tavernas to nightclubs and other entertainment venues, Thessaloniki offers it all.

I hope you liked this touristic places and start planning your trip for after quarantine, mean while take good care. Hopefully for next year this situation would be in the past, so Cata and I could have our dream fifteen trip.
